Description
The Strelitzia Nicolai, better known as the Bird of Paradise plant, is an impressive green houseplant with large, shiny leaves. These leaves can reach spectacular sizes in a home environment, making the plant a popular choice for filling empty spaces in a room.
The nickname ‘Bird of Paradise Plant’ comes from the exotic and colorful flowers the plant produces, which resemble the birds of paradise. However, these flowers are rare in domestic conditions.
Strelitzia Nicolai is originally from South Africa, where it grows in full sun and can grow up to ten meters high. In the Netherlands, however, this houseplant will remain a lot smaller, although it can still reach an impressive height.
Caring for this houseplant is quite simple, making it a good choice for both novice and experienced plant enthusiasts. It prefers a lot of light, but direct sunlight must be introduced gradually so as not to damage the leaves.
The Torun plant basket is a trendy plant basket. Lined with a strong inner pocket and has a sturdy natural look. You can place the plant in the basket with or without a nursery pot. It is important to always place a thin layer of hydro granules on the bottom so that the plant does not stand with its feet in the water. The excess water will then be absorbed by the granules.
