Thymus praecox ‘Coccineus’ is a low-growing, evergreen ground cover with fine, aromatic green leaves and striking deep pink to red flowers that bloom in late spring and early summer. This compact, herbaceous plant is ideal for rock gardens, sunny borders, formal plantings, and as ground cover between paving stones or walls. Thymus praecox ‘Coccineus’ performs best in a sunny position in well-drained, lime-rich soil. It is low-maintenance, drought-tolerant, fully hardy and attractive to bees and butterflies.
