Persicaria bistorta is a robust perennial with grey-green foliage and striking cylindrical flower spikes that bloom from late spring to mid-summer in beautiful pink to purple-red. This strong plant is ideal for moist borders, naturalistic gardens and pond edges, where it adds height and structure. Persicaria bistorta thrives best in sunny to partially shaded positions in well-moist, fertile soil. It is low-maintenance, fully hardy and attracts bees and butterflies.
