This versatile plant is ideal for herb gardens, sunny borders, rock gardens, and as a fragrant ground cover. Thymus vulgaris performs best in a sunny position in well-drained, lime-rich soil. It is low-maintenance, drought-tolerant, fully hardy, and attractive to bees and butterflies.
