Heat Pack Orchids
Thermal Protection for Kolibrī Orchids
During the winter months, temperatures can drop quickly, especially in transit.
Orchids — even resilient varieties such as the Kolibrī line — are tropical plants and do not tolerate prolonged exposure to low temperatures or sudden thermal fluctuations.
For this reason, we recommend using the Heat Pack Orchids during the winter season.
Why is it important?
During shipping, parcels may:
-
remain for several hours in sorting centers
-
travel overnight
-
pass through regions with very low temperatures
Even a few hours below 5°C (41°F) can cause:
-
damage to leaf tissue
-
water-soaked spots on leaves
-
root stress
-
compromised flowering
The Heat Pack gradually and consistently releases warmth for several hours, helping to maintain a more stable temperature inside the parcel and protecting the plant during transport.
When is it recommended?
✔ Shipments between November and March
✔ Outdoor temperatures below 10°C (50°F)
✔ Deliveries to colder regions or mountainous areas
✔ Periods of cold waves
A small accessory, a significant difference
The Heat Pack does not speed up delivery, but it significantly reduces the risk of cold damage.
For us, it is a way to protect both the plant and the customer experience — we prefer prevention rather than solving problems after delivery.
