TERRARIUM USER MANUAL – PLANTCLICK.STORE

Welcome to the World of Terrariums

Thank you for choosing a PlantClick.store terrarium! Creating and maintaining a terrarium is a fascinating experience that brings a touch of nature into your space. This guide will help you take care of your miniature ecosystem to ensure its longevity and beauty.

1. WHAT YOU WILL FIND IN THE KIT

Depending on the model of the terrarium you have chosen, the kit may contain:

  • Glass container (sealed or open)
  • Specific substrate for the included plants
  • Drainage layer (expanded clay, gravel, or activated charcoal)
  • Stabilized or live moss
  • Plants suitable for terrarium cultivation
  • Decorative elements (rocks, wood, colored sand, etc.)

2. HOW TO ASSEMBLE YOUR TERRARIUM

Step 1: Prepare the Drainage Layer

To prevent water stagnation and mold, start by creating a drainage layer with gravel or expanded clay. If included, add a thin layer of activated charcoal to keep the substrate clean and odor-free.

Step 2: Add the Substrate

Spread the soil evenly to create a solid base for the plants. Make sure to use the most suitable substrate for the selected species (e.g., well-draining soil for succulents or nutrient-rich soil for tropical plants).

Step 3: Carefully Plant Your Greenery

Place the plants carefully, leaving enough space for growth. Use tweezers or small gardening tools to avoid damaging the roots.

Step 4: Decorate Your Terrarium

Add moss, twigs, rocks, or other decorative elements to create a harmonious and natural-looking environment.

Step 5: Hydration

Use a spray bottle to lightly moisten the substrate, avoiding excessive watering. Remember that closed terrariums require very little irrigation, while open ones need more frequent watering.

3. CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  • Lighting: Place the terrarium in a bright area but away from direct sunlight to prevent overheating.
  • Watering: Check the humidity inside the terrarium. If excessive condensation appears on the glass, open it for a few hours to allow evaporation.
  • Pruning: Remove dry or overgrown leaves to maintain a healthy and balanced design.
  • Health Monitoring: If you notice signs of mold or wilting plants, take quick action to restore balance.

4. COMMON TROUBLESHOOTING

  • Excessive Condensation: Open the terrarium for a few hours and reduce watering.
  • Mold in the Substrate: Gently remove the affected part and check the humidity level.
  • Yellowing Plants: This may indicate overwatering or underwatering. Adjust irrigation according to the specific needs of the plants.
